Happy Birthday Your Majesty! Learn all about King Charles III on his 74th birthday…

Happy birthday, King Charles! The British monarch turns 74 on November 14 and is celebrating his first birthday as King, following the passing of his dear mother Queen Elizabeth II in September. But what do you know about the new King? Read on to find out everything about this eco-friendly and charitable man…

King Charles became the first heir to the throne to graduate from university in 1971 with a history degree from Cambridge University.

In 2003, the King sent a bottle of whisky to Ozzy Osbourne as a healing gift. The only problem was that the artist had had problems with alcohol in the past.

Charles only confronted his father, the late Prince Philip, once in his life. This would have been several years ago, and the young prince is said to have shouted at his father: “Remember you are addressing the future king!”

Charles wrote a children’s book in 1980 titled ‘The Old Man of Lochnager.’

Charles can count Dracula amongst his relatives! Not Dracula exactly, but Vlad the Impaler, the Transylvanian nobleman who inspired Bram Stoker’s literary vampire.

The King tends to be picky. He demands that his eggs be boiled for exactly seven minutes every morning.

He sleeps naked. We beg you to erase this image from your brain immediately… but it’s true!

The King was only 9 years old when he received the title of Prince of Wales following the death of his grandfather, King George VI, in 1952. He has now handed down the title to his son and heir Prince William since becoming King.

The King may have changed his name when he came to the throne. New monarchs often change their birth names, such as King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II, who was born Albert but adopted a new name for his coronation. The new monarch, however, chose to remain Charles.

The King learned to play the cello as a child, as well as the trumpet and piano.
