A new trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania debuted at San Diego Comic Con this weekend, and whilst it hasn’t appeared online yet, it’s causing quite a buzz.
The Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily led franchise has been known for it’s quirky humour and light-heartedness, but it seems the final film in the Ant-Man trilogy has bucked this trend.
The first look at the trailer from Comic Con shows a much more serious project than audiences may have anticipated, with the less-than-normal-size duo entering the Quantum Realm once again.
The pair will welcome a 3rd member to their team, Cassie Lang, whose superhero alias is known as ‘Stature’, who has been recast and is now portrayed by Kathryn Newton.
The villains of the film will be He Who Remains, who we first saw in Loki, along with Corey Stoll returning to the franchise to play MODOK.
MODOK appeared in the Marvel’s Avengers game and is a “Mental Organism Designed Only For Killing.”
This project is shaping up to be one of the most highly-anticipated MCU projects yet, with some fans believing it will be key in setting up future Avengers films.
